
Florence Canal Reach 2
The Florence Canal Reach 2 Rehabilitation and Lining Project encompassed around 11.5 miles of existing earthen canals with various features, including flow control structures, equipment, turnout structures, pipes, road crossings, wells, and more. Hunter's scope of work for this project included the construction of 6 box culverts, 5 check structures, 6 headwalls, 1 trash removal structure, 1 inlet siphon structure, 1 outlet siphon structure, 3 retaining walls, 1 emergency spillway structure, and 1 large turnout drop structure. In total, approximately 7,000 cubic yards of reinforced concrete were placed, utilizing standard reinforcement, epoxy-coated steel, stainless steel radial gate embeds, Adeka Waterstop, and PVC Waterstop.
