Dig Karki, P.E.
Dig is a registered Professional Engineer in the State of Arizona and has decades of experience in engineering and construction, specializing in alternative project delivery methods. With a Bachelor of Science degree in civil engineering, he started his professional career as a design engineer, designing hydropower projects. Realizing that he enjoyed construction aspects of projects more, he joined the graduate program in construction at Arizona State University. Dig graduated from ASU with a Master of Science degree in construction in 2003 and worked at different civil construction companies before joining the Hunter family in 2010. Dig has worked in several roles within the company, with one goal―customer satisfaction through collaboration. In his current role as Project Sponsor, Dig is responsible for executing strategic initiatives and oversees projects through their entire life cycle―from pursuit to preconstruction and construction through warranty. He provides leadership and mentorship to project managers, superintendents, and project engineers. Dig strives for perfection, instilling Hunter’s core values: Build it Right, Accountability, Safety, Integrity, and Continuous Improvement in every project.
Where will you find Dig when he is not helping his teams solve challenges, collaborating with engineers and clients, or preparing for that next remarkable project? You will find him at one of the parks he has built for his son’s soccer games, tinkering with miscellaneous home projects, or quietly reading a book.
