Glendale Youth Sports Complex

Glendale Youth Sports Complex was part of a multi-phased project with multiple guaranteed maximum price (GMP) delivering the massive infrastructure at 91st Avenue and Bethany Home Road for the Cardinals Stadium in Glendale. The project scope includes the construction of three football fields, two soccer fields, a concession stand with locker rooms (the support structure for a 2,000-seat bleacher system), landscaping, and a parking lot (both paved and decomposed granite). Hunter Contracting Co. installed a non-obtrusive field drainage system, a complete lighting system for night use, and an electronic scoreboard that operates from the concession building. Emergency vehicle access and turn-around were incorporated into the project to expand the available area beyond the parking lot by utilizing interlocking grass pavers to stabilize the surface beneath the grass for a heavy event and/or emergency vehicle access.
