Desert Sky Park

Situated in the Rittenhouse flood basin, this project provided multi-use soccer fields with Musco Lighting® (LED sports lighting). The fields are watered by an irrigation storage lake, which is surrounded by concrete walkways, landscaping, restroom building, and a “ninja” style playground with fabric shades. Hunter Contracting Co. collaborated to meet the needs of the Town and Flood Control District of Maricopa County (FCDMC) requirements with intense coordination with SRP, Southwest Gas, Union Pacific Railroad (UPRR), the East Valley Institute of Technology (EVIT), and neighboring residents, and HOAs. A significant amount of off-site improvements and a mile of reclaimed water, potable water, and sewer infrastructure (including jack and bore under UPRR tracks).
