Litchfield Pedestrian Underpass
Hunter Contracting Co. constructed an award-winning pedestrian underpass east to west under Litchfield Road on the north side of Wigwam Boulevard with a pre-cast concrete arch system. The underpass connects downtown Litchfield Park and the Wigwam Golf Resort to future shopping and dining and provides increased safety for downtown pedestrian traffic and nearby schools. In addition, this 2014 award-winning project showcases creativity and ingenuity through its historically inspired decorative designs.
