SR77: Calle Concordia to
Tangerine Road, Oracle Highway

Hunter Contracting Co. (Hunter) was the prime general contractor for this roadway and intersection improvement project to widen SR77 to three lanes in each direction for a 5.5 mile section of heavily traveled road. The scope of work included new right-turn lanes at 4 intersections, an additional 12-foot-wide travel lane and 10-foot-wide shoulder in each direction, improved left-turn lanes, Canada del Oro Bridge widening, retaining walls, noise walls, traffic signal improvements, drainage improvements, landscaping, pedestrian bridge, 130,000 cubic yards of embankment construction, 2,000 linear feet of a new storm drain, and 30,000 tons of AC pavement placement. Hunter's project superintendent worked with 150 business owners coordinating all phases of construction, scheduled subcontractors, and supervised a workforce of 120.
