SAS Retention Pond

Hunter Contracting Co. (Hunter) built the new Scottsdale Auto Show (SAS) retention pond to hold tailwater and fill in the old pond for the land to be sold by a developer. The land had the community's old irrigation tailwater pond that consisted of two ponds with one vertical turbine pump. The project consisted of clearing out grubs, trees, bushes, and weeds. Hunter removed old vertical turbine pumps and associated steel piping that put the tailwater back into circulation. Our team then rebuilt the area with a new excavation retention pond across the street.
