Tolleson Downtown Redevelopment

This project transformed the downtown streetscape into an active and vibrant destination where people will gather for social events, dining and shopping. It serves as an aesthetic and functional attraction to residents, visitors and to future economic development. The new streetscape accommodates multimodal transportation, especially responsive to the experience and safety of the pedestrian while showcasing the rich historical and cultural heritage of Tolleson. Improvements included roadway reconstruction, bike lanes, widened tree-shaded sidewalks, art features, center plaza, entry gateway monuments, traffic signals, street lighting, drainage improvements and utility relocations.
