Hunter Contracting Co. has a completed a number of projects throughout the state of Arizona. We are additionally always bidding on new projects. These are just a sample of some of the types of jobs Hunter Contracting has been involved with.
Broadway Pedestrian Overpass
The Diamondback Bridge, a concrete pedestrian/bicycle Overpass located in downtown Tucson, opened May 23, 2002. The $2.3 million bridge project for the City of Tucson was designed to resemble a Diamondback Rattlesnake, complete with fangs and rattle. The bridge fence material that encloses the bridge was painted to match the color of the scales of a rattlesnake. In addition, decorative colored concrete located at the head was placed in the shape of the snake’s tongue.

Phoenix/Mesa Overlay
Every year the City of Phoenix and the City of Mesa designate various residential neighborhoods to be repaired. The two phase project, milling and paving, began June 11, 1999.

The Phoenix overlay was completed July 23, 1999 and the Mesa overlay on August 16, 1999.

Southeast Water Retreatment Plant
The $22 million project at Southeast WRP in Mesa, Arizona consists of converting and expanding the plant from 4 million to 8 million gallons a day. Hunter Contracting began work on May 1998 and was completed in 2000.

Fountain Hills Lake Liner Rehabilitation Project
Carl Norskog headed up this project of removing the old liner from the Foutain Hills Lake and replacing it with a new one.
