CVPP Designation
A testament to our safety record, Hunter was chosen as one of three companies in Arizona designated to represent the construction industry in the ADOSH Construction Voluntary Protection Program.  This prestigious designation recognizes outstanding efforts of employers and employees who have achieved exemplary occupational safety and health standards and is a testament to the efforts made by management, the employees and ADOSH. Hunter is committed to continually improving our Safety and Health Management System to ensure a safe work environment for each and every employee.

On August 27, 2010, Hunter was recognized by Darin Perkins, Director of the Arizona Division of Occupational Safety and Health (ADOSH), as a VPP Star company. VPP Star status is the highest form of recognition given by ADOSH and OSHA for companies exhibiting injuries below the national average and for implementing effective safety and health management systems. On October 22, 2010, Hunter celebrated VPP Star status with a ceremony at our corporate offices:

  Sam Napolitano (Hunter's CFO), David Martin (AGC Arizona
Chapter President), Steve Padilla (Hunter's President and CEO) and
Chuck English (Hunter's Vice President Southwest Division Manager)
came out to support Hunter's commitment to safety.
        
As VPP is about protecting the employee, representatives from the general workforce - including
subcontractors - accept the VPP flag on behalf of everyone at Casa Grande WRF, Gilbert Shop and Offices.
