Max Taddei, Treasurer & Vice Chairman
Hunter Contracting is a family-owned business now in its third generation.  The projects we do have evolved in many cases; in others they are essentially the same as when Mr. William R. Hunter started the business in 1951.  Changes have been plentiful for us here is Arizona:  cities, counties and states are always under construction.  The business of Hunter Contracting is to build out the changes in Arizona, making a cleaner, safer place for all.

Through all of these years, we have worked to maintain a consistent, dependable company where people can find rewarding work.  Our projects are interesting, sometimes complex and without exception, serve the public good.  I am proud to be a part of Hunter Contracting Co.

Allen E. Andrews, Senior Vice President Administration

As Senior Vice President, I have responsibility for the Safety, Equipment

Resource, and Training departments. These three areas are critical to

supporting the accomplishments of the Operations Divisions at Hunter Contracting Co.

At Hunter, the safety and well being of our employees come first.  This philosophy is built on a foundation of educating and training all our employees.  It is through this approach that we have been successful in creating the culture that "safety is everyone's responsibility."

Also key to creating our competitive advantage, is increasing the knowledge and skill level of our employees.  To this end, Hunter Contracting Co. has implemented various training initiatives and continues to expand our training department, producing opportunities for advancement, and job security that benefits our employees and thier families. We believe training and continuous improvement is a win-win for Hunter Contracting Co. as well as the construction industry. In order to keep pace with the demands of the projects we build, we must continually evaluate, maintain, and add to our available equipment resources. Maintaining a high level of equipment productivity and keeping up-to-date with the latest technology is a continuous process of strategic analysis.

Tom Sornsin, Vice President Industrial Division Manager
Hunter Contracting Co. has vision and a determination to explore new and exciting construction means and methods. When the Arizona Legislature passed the Alternate Delivery Method (ADM) of construction bidding in 2000, Hunter Contracting was immediately at the forefront of this Design/Build, CM@Risk, and Job Order Contracting bidding methodology. This commitment to ADM bidding and “out of the box” vision has allowed our Industrial Division to grow and prosper in a construction arena of qualification based negotiated work. This successful growth and profitability is a direct result of the many managers, supervisors, engineers, staff, field personnel, and crafts personnel that we have working in the Industrial Division. I am so proud of them and so fortunate to lead them to many, many more successful years.
