In The Community
Every year Hunter Contracting Co. and our employees give back to the community. We sponsor numerous charitable events such as the Annual Hunter Golf Tournament, which raises money for multiple charities such as the East Valley Children’s Crisis Nursery, American Cancer Society, Salvation Army Summer Camp, Boys and Girls Club, etc. In 1993 Hunter used the golf tournament to help one of our own. Ben Sornsin, the son of Tom Sornsin, was in desperate need of a liver transplant. Hunter, along with the support of many associates, friends, subcontractors and suppliers pulled together to raise $15,000 for the Sornsin family at Hunter’s Second Annual Golf Tournament. Additionally, we sponsor events such as the “Gilbert Cares” program that identifies and repairs homes. We donated time and materials for the construction of the Rotary Art Park in the City of Mesa, we supplied volunteers to help renovate older Base Housing at Williams AFB, and we help youth of our community by sponsoring a variety of youth sports teams.
In Early 2008, the employees of Hunter Contracting Co. created the
Employees’ Charity Committee (ECC). Together, the employees of Hunter Contracting Co. are committed to enhance the quality of life and make a difference in the community.
Hunter Contracting Co. also believes in giving back to their employees. Each year Hunter Contracting Co. has a picnic to thank their employees for a job well done. Each Christmas we celebrate our Annual Santa Party, in which employees’ children can come to the Corporate office to enjoy activities and have their pictures taken with Santa. Our company strives each year to make sure our employees know how much they are appreciated. |
