Camelback Pedestrian Underpass and Road Improvements

MULTIPLE AWARD-WINNING PROJECT

Scope of Work: Hunter performed construction on the pedestrian underpass and road improvements for Camelback Road. Reconstruction of six-lanes and signalized intersection on Camelback Road between 24th and 26th Streets, landscaped medians, turn lanes, sidewalks, and under grounding of utilities. What makes this project a multiple award-winning project is the beautifully designed pedestrian underpass that connects residents and tourists from the office park at the Esplanade Center to the shopping and dining that Biltmore Fashion Park offers. The underpass was created using our Con-Arch structure system and is finished with terrazzo flooring and mosaic tile placement throughout.

Indian Bend Road

MULTIPLE AWARD-WINNING PROJECT

Contract Amount: $ 19.8 Million
Scope of Work: Indian Bend Road was widened to 4 lanes with signalization, curbs, gutters, and sidewalks. Hunter constructed the bridge using a ten span Con-Arch bridge structure. The project included multi-use trails, footpaths, landscaping, and relocation of two locomotive train cars. Construction of retaining walls, joint utility trench, and berms and wetland habitat. Public art was incorporated into the project with six horse sculptures and Keim mineral concrete color enhancements.

Veteran's Memorial Overpass

Delivery Method: Design-Bid-Build
Contract Amount: $ 19 Million
Scope of Work: The project consisted of demolition of existing bridge and mass excavation and embankment. Construction of a four-lane precast girder bridge over roadway and railroad.

Tangerine Road


Owner: Arizona Department of Transportation (ADOT)
Delivery Method: Design-Bid-Build
Contract Amount: $ 7.3 Million
Scope of Work: The Tangerine Road project included surveying, clearing, grubbing and demolition of existing curbs, gutters, sidewalks, and drainage pipe. Hunter relocated traffic signals and lighting, grading and drainage and native plant salvage. A 1000 FT long, eight-span, precast girder bridge was constructed to complete the project.

Yuma Casa Grande Highway - Mohawk Canal Overpass


Owner: Arizona Department of Transportation (ADOT)
Delivery Method: Design-Bid-Build
Contract Amount: $ 4.5 Million
Scope of Work: Hunter was hired to remove existing bridge structure on Interstate 8 Mohawk Canal and construct a new bridge structure consisting of post tensioned box girder end spans with prestressed type 4 girders. The project was then completed with asphalt pavement overlay and installation of additional guard rails.
