Westwing Park Phase I & II

Scope of Work: Two-phase municipal park within the Black Mountain preserve are. Converting two large retention basins turf areas. Included structural steel shade trellis systems combined with high performance shade fabric. Installation of perimeter fencing, post tension tennis courts, skate park, and an access trail connecting to the Black Mountain Preserve trail system, were all completed in the two phases of the project.

Papago Park

Delivery Method: Job Order Contract (JOC)
Contract Amount: $ 390,000
Scope of Work: The park consists of a desert-themed children's playground at historic Papago Park Complex. Construction of a new ADA-accessible parking spaces, access ramp and sidewalk were all implemented. Hunter performed drainage improvements, lighting relocation and electrical upgrades. Purchased and installed amenities including a giant rattlesnake, a king snake and a few desert tortoise features allowing the children to let their imaginations run free as they enjoy the park.

Manzanita Park

Contract Amount: $ 5 Million
Scope of Work: Hunter constructed a 40-acre community park in southwest Phoenix. The project included site grading, installation of all underground utilities including SRP power, Con-Arch drainage structure, curb and gutters, and access roadway and parking lot. The parks amenities included a basketball court, ramadas, playground, restrooms, lush landscaping and lighting for safety.

Julian Wash Linear Park - Rita Road to Kolb Road

Contract Amount: $ 2.2 Million
Scope of Work: This project left as much natural environment as possible to give patrons the feeling of being in the middle of the desert while still having the safety and comfort of any other park. Hunter performed site excavation and embankment, slope stabilization and protection, asphalt bike path and parking lot. The residents of the area can enjoy the comfort stations, steel pedestrian bridge, restroom facilities, ancient Indian statues, an overlook of University of Arizona Tech Park solar panels, and old railroad tracks.

Desert West Soccer Field Park

Contract Amount: $ 700,000
Scope of Work: Construction of the City of Phoenix's first synthetic turf soccer field. 22 acres of soil preparation, irrigation system and specialized drain system.
